In the Bookshop you will find a huge selection of books in both German and English on a wide range of subjects. Books on Namibia, art, architecture, fiction and non-fiction, cookbooks, travel guides, maps and atlases, children’s books, audio-books and much more may be perused in a warm, well-lit and stylish interior.

DIE MUSCHEL, established in 1985, is located in the heart of Swakopmund, on the western corner of the Brauhaus Arcade.

On the terrace outside the shop, you will find the MUSCHEL Coffee Shop, already known as the meeting point in Swakopmund where excellent coffee and cakes may be enjoyed.

Our Art Gallery occupies a section of the ground floor where an exhibition is presented every few months. Between exhibitions, a varied selection of works of Namibian and South African artists as well as oriental carpets are displayed, which are all for sale.

When following the stairs to the first floor you will discover more art and artefacts beautifully displayed in a rich atmosphere. Visit/return to our Home Page
