Sam's Giardino - Garden Facts & Facilities

Sam's Giardino - Facts & Facilities: Gardens

Right: This is a close-up shot of the building that houses our reception and kitchen. It shows the pergola, added in 2007, in front of the kitchen's large bay window. The dining set visible through the window is for our staff only, for tea breaks and staff meetings.
On the edges of the photo: Left, the entrance to the reception area, and right, the passage to our big wine storage (cooler room) and the laundry.

Left: Our Garden received a major overhaul in 2007 and 2009. The latest photos are to follow with the next site update
The slightly older image on the left does however provide a good overview of the garden's main features: Two tables & chairs with umbrellas (far left) are positioned opposite the restaurant entrance, next to the goldfish pond. This is an ideal spot for afternoon coffees and sundowners.
A walkway runs from the street-side entrance (background centre) straight to the bridge across the pond, past the restaurant entrance, to the reception.
There are plenty of lawns, flowers and shrubs also on the far side of the pond and in front of the guest rooms (building on the right) as well as sun-beds and deck-chairs.
Not visible are our herb garden, our dog's "villa" - both located to the left of the big table -, and the latest additions in 2009, a large gazebo and a new fountain.
