INDABA 2009
Sasendle will not make it to Durban this year but we would
like to extend an open invitation to Indaba trade visitors to
make appointments for meeting with us in Cape Town!
Foreign tour operators interested in experiencing our
safari activities first-hand during their visits to South Africa
are also most welcome to
contact us.

Following an
extensive hearing, for which detailed documentation and a
personal motivation speech by Nico Senekal was required, the
Road Carrier Transport Agency of South Africa granted
Sasendle Adventure Tours an extension of their Tour Operator
License. SAT is now permitted to operate accommodated safaris
throughout South Africa, with no restrictions whatsoever.
Download the permit for one of SAT's vehicles -
permits for the remainder of the fleet can be emailed on
request.

National Badges
for Sasendle Guides
Marcelle Senekal and one of our freelance guides attended a
fully comprehensive 5-day guide training course, which covered
all aspects of practical skills and theoretical knowledge guides
in South Africa are required to have. Nine of the assignments
were to be submitted to the Department of Environmental Affairs
& Tourism (DEAT).
The practical training included various techniques such as safe
driving on sand, mud, rock and gravel as well as for the
recovery of vehicles.
Both Sasendle course participants achieved scores around 90% and
were awarded the National Badge, which made them qualified
Overland & Tourist Guides.
Nico Senekal is holding a National Guide Badge for a number of
years already, and thus Sasendle is proud to present a fully
licensed core team of guides.

SATSA & TASA
memberships for Sasendle
TASA, the Tour & Safari
Association of Namibia, approved our membership application
this month!
Sasendle's membership of
SATSA, the
South African
Tourism Service Association, is likely to be confirmed in
early April 2009.
Copies of both certificates will be made available for download
from this site with the next update.
